The film contains three moments of fantasy, two of which are in the theatrical film and one having been deleted. The first is when the maneki-neko, or "Japanese Lucky Cat," waves its hand at Abby after she finishes eating her first bowl of ramen. The second is when the pots and pans all shake as Abby storms into the ramen restaurant, declaring that she wants to learn how to cook ramen. The third (which is deleted) is when Abby expresses her anger at her desk job's employer, which breaks the glass and shakes the office.
