The demon Ba'al actually reveals his name indirectly to Michael through the animal familiars associated with him: cats, toads, man, and red-eyed donkeys. There are excessive cats surrounding Fr. Lucas's home, the excessive yellow-bellied toads in the fountain and the boy's pillow, the two people possessed (Rosaria and Fr. Lucas), and the donkey dreams that both the boy and Michael have along with the boy's hoof bruises. This indicates that Michael was probably intended as Ba'al's fourth victim (after Rosaria, Father Lucas, and the boy), since Michael was in a crisis of faith and started having the horrifying visions.
