Richard Boone, who appeared as Lt. Fraser, served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Petty Officer First Class. He saw combat as a crew member/gunner on a TMB-Avenger torpedo bomber aboard the USS Intrepid (CV-11 - now a floating museum along side Pier 86, New York City.)
