The soundtrack for the film includes a version of the song, "Fever" called, "Craw-Fever". Some of the lyrics include, "Romeo loved Juliet, Juliet she felt the same, When he put his arms around her, He said, 'Julie baby you're my flame'". Director Baz Luhrmann previously directed Romeo + Giulietta di William Shakespeare (1996) in 1996.
