The call sign (like "Maverick" in Top Gun) for the pilot who is flying the recon mission over Pearl Harbor is soup because his last name is Campbell. It would appear as "Lt. James "Soup" Campbell" on the airplane by the cockpit, but only soup and Campbell are visible.
