The title sequence for season three foreshadows two important things about main characters, from the first episode, even though neither would be actually revealed for quite some time: Lydia's identity as a banshee (revealed episode 3x9, "The Girl Who Knew Too Much") and Derek's transformation into a full wolf (which occurs in episode 4x12 "Smoke and Mirrors").
