Michael Jackson was a big fan of Ritorno al futuro (1985), and he was very cooperative with letting his likeness be recreated for the Cafe 80s scene. He was portrayed by E'Casanova (credited as E. Casanova Evans), a professional Michael Jackson impressionist, who wore a rubber mask. According to Bob Gale, ironically, E'Casanova naturally resembled Jackson in real life more than with the rubber mask on.
