Tom Cruise who plays Dr. Bill Harford, and Sky du Mont who plays Sandor Szavost, have both played World War II German Resistance figure Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg. Sky du Mont played Stauffenberg in Ricordi di guerra (1988), and Tom Cruise played him in Operazione Valchiria (2008).
