In the science expo, whilst Hiro is demonstrating the microbots, there are two brief shots showing Alistair Krei assessing another competitor's project. The competitor is wearing something very similar to the Brain-Wave Analyzer created by Dr. Emmett Brown in the film Ritorno al futuro (1985).
