During Frank Slade's speech at Baird's Disciplinary Committee, Slade mentions "when the bough breaks, the cradle will fall". It refers Greek myth of Zeus, who when he was a baby has hidden by her mother Rhea in a cradle hung up of the bough of a tree to save him from his father Chronos, king of Titans and lord of Olympus. Chronos had been advised by a prophecy that one of his children one day would kill him when he was adult, causing that Chronos ate his first children (Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades and Poseidon) after they were born. Escaping to be eaten, Zeus grew up to be adult and realize the prophecy, leading a riot against that killed Chronos and the rest of the Titans, turning himself in the new lord of Olympus. It's also just a common nursery rhyme. Which makes more sense than what is written above.
