In those days Amitabh Bachchan had stopped acting in films in fact he had backed out of some projects. But he had already committed to S.Ramanathan to do a film for him, so he had fulfilled his commitment. Tinnu Anand used to follow Amitabh Bachchan on the sets of Gereftaar to convince him to act in Shahensha and finnaly Amitabh Bachchan agreed.
