Due to overruns, original cinematographer Geoffrey Unsworth had to leave. He was replaced by John Alcott who would go on to be Stanley Kubrick's cinematographer on Arancia meccanica (1971), Barry Lyndon (1975) (for which he won an Oscar) and Shining (1980).
