M.C. Gainey, who plays Roscoe in the movie, guest starred on the original Dukes of Hazzard TV show in the episode The Dukes of Hazzard: Bad Day in Hazzard (1982) as a criminal named Peters, who takes Bo, Luke, Daisy, Uncle Jesse, Roscoe, Boss Hogg, and Cleatus hostage at the Boar's Nest.
