During the promotion of the French theatrical release, Dolph Lundgren did a parody of the film with cult comedy group "Les Nuls" (similar to Il Saturday Night Live (1975)). The skit, called "Le Pleurnisher" (a play on words meaning "the cry-baby"), is a fake trailer showing Dolph Lundgren standing up with a straight face and slowly shedding emotive while the voice-over by Chantal Lauby is telling a really sad Christmas story leading up to the actor shedding tears that are bigger and bigger and concluding: "it's really too sad", while cleaning up with a tissue. Alain Chabat did the trailer narration in a Don LaFontaine style parody.
