Towards the end of the film, due to the massive destruction, Turbo and Guy Gagne have to finish the race on foot, just like in Talladega nights: the ballad of Ricky Bobby, when Ricky Bobby and Jean Girard have to finish the race on foot, giving the hint that both movies possibly had the same ending.
