In the climax, when Tapasvi Maharaj challenges P.K. on the talk show, P.K. replies with "Sarat manjur hai" to accept it. This is a clear nod to Aamir Khan's film Lagaan (2001) where Bhuvan, the character played by Aamir Khan says the same to the British officer challenging him to a cricket match.
