Tilda Swinton's character is named Madame Blanc. "Blanc" is French for "white". Swinton has played another evil witch associated with the word "White": Jadis, the White Witch of Le cronache di Narnia - Il leone, la strega e l'armadio (2005). Swinton portrayed Jadis in all three live-action Narnia productions.
