The majority of fans disliked Chet (the Predalien) because of her outlandish reproduction method that contradicts and even outright renders the previous life-cycle obsolete. They also criticized her design and some things she does, like standing idly while Wolfe removes his equipment (as honor is no issue when it comes to an animal). The makers have addressed these issues to some extent: they stated that the Predalien is a Queen, and can temporarily implant chestbursters directly (without a facehugger) before becoming immobile and growing an ovipositor. Furthermore, the Predalien was always intended to have inherited several Predator traits, like skinning some of its Predator victims (which was filmed but omitted from the movie), so it may feel some sense of honor too. As it is also a Queen, it displays much more intelligence and constraint than normal Aliens, especially during the scene in the sewer: where the Aliens attack without hesitation, the Predalien prefers to stay back, assess the threat and then decide upon the best action, which is briefly attacking and then leaving. As such, the Predalien may simply be cautious during the final fight, allowing Wolfe to take off his armor and weapons (making him easier to kill) and attack first, hoping that there is a weakness in his offense that she can exploit.
