Even though Billy's superhero alter ego is refered as 'Shazam' throughout the film, it isn't actually a certain superhero's name. The Wizard (Djimon Honsou) called himself as Shazam before giving his powers to Billy. And Billy's foster siblings also use the same words to transform into their superhero forms. Also, Theo Adam uses this same phrase to turn into Black Adam in the comics.
