(1) The Frank Sinatra song played on the jukebox is "One For My Baby (And One More For The Road)". The lyrics outline the third act of this movie. In this instance, the first two verses starting with "It's quarter to three / There's no one in the place except you and me / So set them up Joe" until "We're drinking my friend / To the end of a brief episode" parallels when "K" (Ryan Gosling) meets Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) - there were only the two of them meeting, and then they had a drink after they got off to a bad start. "Joe" is "K"'s human pseudonym that Joi (Ana de Armas) gives him. (2) The fifth and sixth verses containing "You never know it / But buddy I am kind of poet / And I've got a lot things to say" / "And Joe I know you're getting anxious to close" would then have Deckard, being more poetic than thirty years previously, answering the questions that "K" was looking for closure. (3) The final verse, "But this torch that I found / It's got to be drowned / Or it soon might explode" parallels Deckard being held hostage by Luv (Sylvia Hoeks), and the fight between "K" and her, resulting in her being drowned. (4) The final sequence when Deckard and "K" part ways in front of Dr. Ana Stelline's (Carla Juri) place is a mirror of the chorus "So make it one for my baby / One more for the road".
