Richard Grieco was offered the role of Jack but turned it down. Grieco had been turning down a majority of roles early in the 90s between what he thought were proper career moves and avoiding typecasting after his role on 21 Jump Street as a police officer. Grieco said this was the one movie he had regretted turning down.
