When Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and his friends dress up Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) in a blonde wig and pink dress, her appearance is almost identical to Paula, a girl from the video game Earthbound on the Super NES who has psychokinetic powers and travels through podunk American towns on bicycles with boys to fight otherworldly evil.
