The name of Lex's mother, Lillian Luthor, was conceived for this show and is also her name in Supergirl (2015). In the comics, she was originally named Arlene Luthor, which was later changed to Letitia Luthor. An aunt named Lillian was mentioned by Lex in "Superwoman" #6.
