Harold Arlen and Yip Yarburg wrote the score including the iconic Oscar winning "Somewhere Over The Rainbow". Eight years later they would write the score to Finian's Rainbow including another famous Rainbow song: "Look To The Rainbow". The melodies and lyrics to these songs are very similar if you listen to them.
