This scene is a callback to The Fast and the Furious (2001), when Dom (Vin Diesel) mentions to Brian (Paul Walker) that he beat Kenny with a wrench and went to prison for it. In another scene (00:55:07) Brian's boss Sergeant Tanner (Ted Levine) specifies that he beat Linder with a 3/4" torque wrench
