Not similar to the original fairy tale at all; which surrounded an evil snow queen and all the ill-fated family members and suitors surrounding her. This snow queen is cursed but good; unlike the original story. Infact this version isn't like the original Snow Queen at all. It's more like Snow Queen meets the Initiation of Sara meets X Men meets Edward Scissorhands. It's a conglomeration of things.
