On September 16, 1993, Whoopi Goldberg and the film producers had reached the settlement, with retired Los Angeles Judge Lester E. Olsen helping bring the parties to it. For his efforts, Judge Olsen was later awarded a special production consultant credit on "Theodore Rex".
