This is the third Marvel movie to reference a DC franchise, the first being Spider-Man (2002) when Aunt May says "You aren't Superman you know" to Peter Parker and the second being Iron Man 3 (2013) where Happy Hogan makes a reference to the Avengers being the Super Friends.
