Besides 12th century tale "Torikaebaya Monogatari", "Inside Mari" (later adapted as TV series, Yo dentro de Mari (2017)) and Ranma ½ (1989), the main plot also is loosely inspired in the Leonardo Patrignani Sci-Fi trilogy of novel books composed by Multiversum (2012), Memory (2013) and Utopia (2014). In it, a teenager from Italy named Alex Loira and a girl from Australia named Jenny Graver learns that their mutual dreams, fantasies and thoughts about each other are in true part of a telepathic mind between them, just to realize when they try for meeting that they live in different parallel universes and have the capacity of "jump" from an universe to another, taking the body of their counterparts in these universes.
