B-movie horror queen Cortney Palm filmed the opening scene running from the giant ant as a favor for the director. Originally it was only supposed to be her in a bikini top and shorts. But while filming, she told the director she thought it would be hilarious if she started stripping off her clothes in a panic as she ran. He loved the idea and before long she was running at full speed stark naked and screaming.
