Ken Jenkins played the character of United States Navy Adm. Pollack who was the commander of The Strategic Command. The character was heavily based on Adm. Richard W. Mies, who was also the commander of The Strategic Command at the time the movie took place on. Similar to Jenkins's character Adm. Pollack who was faced with a major crisis, Adm. Miles also played role during the 9/11 attacks in which he was tasked to guard the deterrence of United States Strategic Weapons during 9/11 attacks.
