Robert De Niro turned down the role of Harry. Joe Pesci, who worked with De Niro on Toro scatenato (1980), Quei bravi ragazzi (1990), Casinò (1995), The Good Shepherd - L'ombra del potere (2006), and The Irishman (2019), got the part instead.
