Hawkeye's hometown was Crabapple Cove, Maine (the only hometown of the characters that was fictitious.) However, in season one, episode twelve, "MASH: Dear Dad (1972)", Hawkeye mentioned the family home in Vermont; in season four, episode five, "MASH: The Late Captain Pierce (1975)", Hawkeye told Klinger that Crabapple Cove is where his family summered; in season seven, episode twenty-six, "MASH: The Party (1979)", he said that his father hadn't left Crabapple Cove in years; in season five, episode fourteen, "MASH: Hawk's Nightmare (1976)", he said that his father was born in Crabapple Cove, and had never left.
