When Edward is cutting the neighborhood ladies' hair, the instrumental music playing sounds similar to a medley from Sweeney Todd, though not actually a direct sample. Tim Burton and Johnny Depp later did the actual Sweeney Todd - Il diabolico barbiere di Fleet Street (2007).
