Two torture scenes were filmed with a body double for Monica (Daniela Monteiro, which also appears in the film as supporting actress and was one of the producers). In one of those scenes, the nails of the vampire's hand are plucked with pliers; in another, she suffers an off-screen genital mutilation. None of the scenes remain in the final cut, but the hands of Daniela were used several times as if they were the hands of Monica (for example: the shots with her hands cuffed, or the hand of the vampire picking a stake).
