Major Anthony Nelson's iconic house with its twin, vine-covered trellises had appeared in different forms on nearly every Columbia/Screen Gems sitcom up to that time. It had always been seen as a neighboring house on these occasions (one being next to the Kravitz' house on Vita da strega (1964), which was supposedly across the street from the Stephens' house, even though they were actually on two different sections of the same street), finally taking center stage as the main house on Strega per amore (1965). The Nelson house was an actual functional house as opposed to most of the others in the area that were simply facades (including the "Bewitched"/Bellows house, as well as the one featured as the Kravitz').
