(at around 23 mins) The manner in which Leon (Colby Boothman) is yanked from the elevated walkway by the velociraptors by the pole he is holding is similar to how Eddie Carr is jerked out of the high hide in the Lost World novel. Unlike Eddie, however, Leon survives his close encounter with the Raptors.
