For many years filmaker Manmohan Desai, wanted to make a film tittled Hifazat to be shot in Pakistan but as he was not getting the required permission the project kept delaying. Finally Manmohan Desai made Hifazat with some changes as Gangaa Jamuna Saraswati, and he gave the tittle Hifazat to his friend Prayag Raj. Manmohan Desai used to like the tittle Hifazat.
