First collaboration of Irrfan with director Tigmanshu Dhulia. Both were good friends since their time together in National School of Drama. They went on to collaborate in many films after Haasil like Charas, Paan Singh Tomar and Sahib, Biwi and Gangster Returns. They both also worked on television where Dhulia directed Irrfan in Star Best Sellers before Haasil.
