(at around 1h 55 mins) Marks the official MCU debut of J. Jonah Jameson, a fan-favorite character who has not been in a film since Spider-Man 3 (2007). He is played by the same actor, J.K. Simmons, who portrayed him in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy. This marks the first time an actor has played the same character in a Marvel film's reboot of the series on screen as they did in a previous series (although Lou Ferrigno played the Hulk in L'incredibile Hulk (1977), he only provided Hulk's voice in the MCU). This seems to have started a trend, since Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) has Willem Dafoe (Green Goblin), Alfred Molina (Doc Ock) and Jamie Foxx (Electro) all reprising their roles from earlier Spider-Man movie series.
