At the end of Sonic - Il film (2020), the first movie, Robotnik proclaimed he'll be back by Christmas. True to his word, the trailer for the second movie indeed dropped during the holiday season nonetheless. Made especially funny with the "He's Back!" proclamations by Agent Stone.
