The song that plays when Serizawa sees Godzilla's dorsal spines protruding from the ocean and heading straight towards him, and when the soldiers shoot at Godzilla as he walks by is actually an update of Godzilla's theme song from Godzilla - Furia di mostri (1971), its also similar to Godzilla (1998) when Godzilla first emerges from the ocean to an old fisherman in New York.
