Michael Wincott (Philo Gant) previously appeared in The Doors (1991). The Doors's 1967 sophomore album "Strange Days" is the namesake to this film, and a cover of the title track, performed by Prong featuring Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek, appears on the soundtrack, and is the first song heard in the film.
