While not mentioned in the movie, obviously due to Nazi agenda, Hans Hermann von Katte, who helps Friedrich to flee from his father and who was later beheaded, had also a sexual affair with crown prince Friedrich, which is also documented. Since 1729 they became lovers. After his death it is known that Friedrich the Great never visited von Katte's grave again.
