(at around 31 mins) Sam's ancestor, Captain Archibald Witwicky, is seen in a news article in the Air Force One computer, referred to as "Capt. Witwicky, Amundsen." This is a reference to Roald Amundsen, a famed explorer and most known as the first man reaching the south pole.
