The scenes of a down-on-his-luck Walt Disney, from the 40:00 to 43:30 mark of the movie, are considered a "master class of acting" by the NY Theater Journal. "Mr. Nicholas is savagely naturalistic in these scenes. Arm around our shoulders, he quietly takes us into this world, shatters us with delicate precision, then gently escorts us back out."
