The VFX team behind the chase scene revealed the explosions behind The Penguin were supposed to be a much shorter shot. Director Matt Reeves enjoyed Colin Farrell's improvisations ("I got you, I got you!") so much that he asked them to add smaller explosions to make time for the entire take.
