This is the second time Jensen Ackles has played a sibling to a character named Sami/Sammy, as he previously appeared on Il tempo della nostra vita (1965) as Eric, twin brother to Alison Sweeney's Samantha Brady. Sweeney's character usually went by the name Sami. Ackles' character tends to call his brother Sam, "Sammy" on this show.
