Joseph C. Phillips, who played Denise's husband on the show, is the only regular cast member who has said that he thinks Bill Cosby is guilty of the sex abuse allegations against him. He said he could tell that something was wrong, even in the 1980s. Other cast members have said that they don't know or think the women are lying and Cosby is innocent. Phillips said he knew someone who was victimized by Cosby and hadn't come forward.
