Rather than an alien entity, the character of Gamemnae is an Atlantean sorceress in the DC Comics. She gathers the League of Ancients, enemies of the Justice League and adapted as Leviathan in the series. The show faithfully includes Rama Khan and Tezumak as members. In the comics, Leviathan was a different organization created by Talia al Ghul.
